The Big Sexy Show

The Posh Club was awarded a Celebrating Age grant from the Arts Council England to pilot new projects in Hastings and Brighton and to commission arty performance monger Karen Da Silva to make a new spectacular touring show, celebrating the lives and loves of older people.

After spending time chatting with guests at The Posh Clubs and their network of friends to discover and understand issues of ageing and loving, a company of 6 performers devised an arty showbiz extravaganza showcasing the lives and loves of older people, which toured to each of the five Clubs, in Hackney, Hastings, Brighton, Crawley and the Elephant & Castle in the first two weeks of April 2018.

It starred Jean Jones, Kate Lawrence, Jane Turner, Antonio Psaila, Veronica Roberts & Francis Angol.

Costumes designed by Claire Ashley, make up by Rachel Porter, with dramaturgical support from Fiona Edwards.
